Situated in New York’s Chinatown, Vivi Bubble Tea is a cute and tiny drink shop with kawaii Japanese settings to attract the passers-by, especially teenagers. It is a little like a gift shop with a glittering array of drinks.
Even being located in Chinatown this tiny drink shop won’t get lost in a sea of red and yellow signage as it grabs your attention with a Homer Simpson statue quietly sitting out front. If you are thirsty for a glass of bubble tea or a scoop of ice cream you can’t go wrong going to Vivi Bubble Tea.
This small yet charming shop features a large selection of authentic Taiwanese drinks, including yogurt drink, lemon jelly, and flavored tea. The bubble tea is available in a variety of different fruit flavors: kumquat & lemon, strawberry, honeydew, coconut, taro, and papaya. They also have a “Top 10 Selling Drinks and Snack” list, which is awesome for those who can’t quite decide what they want to order.
Among an array of choices, the Passion Fruit Green Tea is the best seller, because of its delectable blend of fruits. In addition, it also has a series of herb jelly drink that mixes the iced jelly and milk tea together, creating a really refreshing summer treat. The prices are also much more reasonable than the neighboring Ice Cream Factory.
If you aren’t a fan of bubble tea, there are also some snacks, such as the Takoyaki, Fried Tempura and Fried Yam which are delicately prepared and a good accompaniment for the tea or slush.
The online rave reviews will tell you how much customers like this cute little shop. Just stop by and try the bubble tea for yourself, or try the delicious Takoyaki if you are in the mood for a snack.
